About the role

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role We are building Anthropic's international order-to-cash function from Dublin, and we are looking for the person who will own it end to end; order management, credit and collections, and the statutory compliance work. You will be the single accountable owner of how international orders convert to cash, from the moment a deal is booked to the moment the invoice is issued and collected. Reporting to the Global Order to Cash leader, you will partner closely with US based and International stakeholders to provide exceptional service to our internal and external customers. What you'll do - Own the international order-to-cash flow, end to end. Everything from a booked order through a valid, issued invoice, and everything after it through cash collected. You will own the operational system that produces booking accuracy, invoice accuracy and on-time issuance, DSO, past due, and bad debt for international. - Build and lead the International team. You will hire three pillar leads and grow the international teams beneath them to scale globally. - Stand up the statutory compliance pillar. E-invoicing protocols, local entity requirements, indirect tax obligations, and the documentation of the workflow as you build it. - Partner with stakeholders and global teams to design the quote-to-cash automation. You will be a key partner in designing and implementing automation across the international quote-to-cash lifecycle, developing the operational metrics that show you where the bottlenecks are, and own the requirements when we select or replace systems. - Develop the strategy and lead international operational readiness for new products and markets. - Establish the controls. Segregation of duties, SOX-aligned controls over international transactions, audit support, and process documentation that reflects how the work is actually done. - Partner across the company. Revenue Accounting, Go-to--Market, Legal, Tax, Billing Engineering, and Finance Systems all touch these processes. You may be a good fit if you - Have led an order-to-cash, billing, or revenue operations function through a period of real growth, with accountability for both the order side and the collections side of the process. - Have managed managers, and can describe what changed about how you worked when your team stopped reporting to you directly. - Have built processes where none existed, rather than optimizing a process someone else designed. - Understand SaaS quote-to-cash across both subscription and consumption\-based commercial models, and can explain why the difference matters operationally. - Have worked with statutory e\-invoicing regimes, local entity requirements, or indirect tax obligations across multiple European jurisdictions, and know how quickly that landscape moves. - Have owned collections outcomes (DSO, aging, bad debt, etc) and have made a credit decision that turned out to be unpopular and correct. - Have designed controls and segregation of duties, and supported an external audit through them. - Are hands-on with contracting systems, billing platforms, and ERP systems, and are comfortable being the person who understands the data rather than the person who asks for a report. - Can hold a boundary. Much of this role is deciding who owns a decision and then defending that answer under pressure. Strong candidates may also have - Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, and enough fluency to know when to escalate to Revenue Accounting. - Experience with third-party cloud marketplace operations (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including private offers and pricing configuration. - Experience standing up a finance operations function in a new geography or legal entity. - Direct partnership experience with engineering and go-to-market teams, and the ability to influence at the leadership level to drive operational execution with a high degree of compliance at a low cost. - Data-driven process design instincts; and the willingness to look at the data yourself - Experience mentoring operations staff into their first management roles. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
