Here’s how: We need an efficiently functioning Finance team to achieve Plan Zero. This role is all about getting the basics right for a healthy functioning Finance team and also feeds into supporting the wider Procure to Pay (P2P) function. This role in a nutshell: This role will be a key member of the Payroll team, and will report directly to the Senior Payroll Manager. This is an essential role within the payroll team to support the Payroll team to pay our people accurately and on time. There are many stakeholders and customers of the payroll team’s data and processes, including; the Reward Team, People Services Team as well as treasury and our people. You will strive to ensure the payroll team deliver the best possible service to our people. You will assist the team in the full end to end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your key outcomes will be: - Assist with the timely and accurate processing of the monthly payrolls. - Assist with the processing and distribution of all P11D/P60s. - Assist with the starters and leavers process from a payroll perspective. - Ensure payroll variations are all up to date to include additions, deductions and any variable pay issues that arise. - Collate and process all overtime hours. - Assist with the monthly pension and workplace benefits processes. - Resolve payroll queries within SLAs set. - Responsible for the issuing of all leaver payslips and P45s. - Administration and manual calculation of statutory leave (SAP, SPP, SMP, SSP, SHPP). - Administration of enhanced leave. - Administration and manual calculation of sick leave SSP,CSP. - Carry out checks to ensure NMW/NLW compliance. - Responsible for the distribution of court order remittances. - Responsible for all incoming HMRC notifications. - Responsible for post payroll reporting. - Carry out general administrative tasks to assist the finance team. - Carry out final payroll checks prior to payroll sign off. - Assist the payroll manager in payroll sign off creation. - Assist with process refinement and implementation. You’ll be a successful Payroll Administrator here at OVO if you… - Are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and someone who is comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change. - Are a strong team player, recognising the needs of all stakeholders and ensuring outcomes maximise value and impact across the enterprise. - Have the ability to problem solve complex issues, by using your experience and analytical skills. - Are diligent with a preference for attention to detail, and be willing to investigate at depth to resolve problems. - Have the ability to analyse data to resolve complex queries. - Possess excellent communication skills in order to explain complex queries to our key stakeholders our people. - Are able to navigate strict deadlines within a fluid and dynamic environment. Ideally you will have: - Proven payroll experience. - A comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation - Excellent communication skills. - The initiative to work on your own or as part of the wider team. - Experience as a team player who thrives in a challenging environment. - A comprehensive knowledge of MS Word and Excel and Google Suite.
