About the role
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk. Auth0, an Okta company, is the leading customer identity platform for developers. Our mission is to secure the world’s identities so innovators can innovate. As AI reshapes how applications are built and used, identity and security are becoming critical to enabling safe and trusted agentic experiences. Our team builds Auth0 products for Agentic AI with a focus on agent identity, access management, and protocols that extend trust to our customers’ AI products. The role is for a highly technical product manager that is adept in developing strong customer-focused product strategies. Responsibilities - Define and Execute the Identity and AI Product Strategy: Drive the roadmap and execution for Auth0’s AI portfolio with a specific focus on secure identity solutions, including Auth0 for AI Agents. Identify tactical integration opportunities and ecosystem partnerships that secure agentic workflows and deliver immediate value to developers. - Be an Owner and Builder (0-to-1): Bring a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset to define, prototype, and launch new identity features for AI applications. Balance rapid experimentation with the engineering discipline required to scale features into secure, production-grade identity standards. - Collaborate and Influence Without Authority: Serve as the core product owner and direct collaborator for engineering, design, and security teams. Translate the broader AI product vision into concrete, technical requirements, managing the backlog to ensure the timely delivery of developer-friendly identity features. - Engage Directly with Developers and Customers: Gather direct feedback from the developer community and early adopters. Actively uncover security and identity pain points in AI implementation, validating that Auth0's identity-for-agents features solve real-world problems. - Be The Identity Standards Expert: Strategize and implement emerging standards in identity and AI, for example focusing on Model Context Protocol (MCP), Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), Client-Initiated Backchannel Authentication (CIBA), and Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD). - Drive Cross-Functional Go-To-Market (GTM) Support: Partner closely with GTM teams (Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales) to support successful product launches. Create technical enablement assets, documentation, and messaging to drive the adoption of identity security in AI applications. Requirements - Senior Product Management Experience: 5-7+ years of product management experience, with a significant focus on Business-to-Business Software-as-a-Service (B2B SaaS) and developer-facing products. - Deep Technical Acumen and Hands-On Identity Credibility: Strong understanding of identity protocols like OIDC, SAML, as well as AI protocols MCP, CIMD, mTLS, and CIBA. - Agentic AI Developer Credibility: Deep understanding of the emerging agent ecosystem. Ability to write code, work directly with APIs/SDKs, and build prototypes that validate customer and developer needs. Has defined and shipped successful API/SDK products for developer usage. - Proven "0-to-1" and Feature Launch Experience: Demonstrated success in building and launching new products, features, or programs from scratch, and executing the technical roadmap to scale them. Strong bias for execution and rapid prototyping. Startup founder or early-stage employee experience is a significant plus. - Exceptional Product Instincts: Ability to deeply understand developer pain points, security requirements, and identity friction, translating them into compelling, secure, and integrated product experiences. - Growth Mindset with Technical Depth: An individual contributor who is highly comfortable diving into technical API specifications, data schemas, and identity standards while collaborating on a Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. - Collaboration and Influence Without Authority: The ability to drive alignment and lead through influence in a highly cross-functional organization, working daily with engineering, design, product marketing, developer relations, and sales teams. - Excellent Communication Skills: Consistently demonstrates an understanding of their audience when communicating by appropriately simplifying the message. The ability to concisely articulate complex technical architectures, developer workflows, and product value propositions clearly to both internal engineering teams and external developers. - Passion for AI and Identity: A genuine enthusiasm for the potential of AI and a deep, demonstrable interest in the future of secure identity for users. #LI-HYBRID #LI-SH1 P20725_3436598 Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada.
